I was born on 3 May 1983 in Iraq-Bagdad. To avoid Saddam’s violence and oppression against Turks, in 1988, we came to turkey as refugee. After the education at Anatolian and Science High Schools, between 2001-2006, I graduated from Industrial Product Design Department of Istanbul Technical University. Between 2007-2010, I completed my master’s degree in Industrial Design at Mimar Sinan University with my thesis on Innovation in Industrial Design. I work at Pasabahce Magazaları as a designer at boutique section since 2008. I met glass at Paşabahce. Under the titles of History, Culture and Glass, I have designed both glass and non-glass products in many series and collections. These studies required extensive archive, library, culture and museum research. Starting from designing a product, whether it was produced in the country or supplied from abroad, I managed the process from beginning to the store and this made a big contribution to me as a product specialist on both glass and ceramic designs. As it gives great joy to make difference and innovations in designing ceramic and glass objects, also examining the chronology of my work makes me closer to historical events and ancient objects.
